Learn French
2. Attain a First Class Honours degree

The first goal was achieved almost a year ago. And with flying colours at that!

The second goal... well, it's still in the works. I have a high chance, but as it is every exam period (just like this one right now), I ain't putting my hopes up too high for the feeling of hurt is too much to bear if I suddenly screwed everything up.

I cannot imagine my life beyond studying. I have yet to think of what I want to do, where I want to be. I just can't seem to find something I'm really passionate about to make a career out of it. I have ABSOLUTELY no goals to aim for after I graduate! *PANIC*

I love music but I can't be a musician. I love bars but it's impossible to run one at this point in time! I love sports but who am I kidding?!

I used to have this vision of me climbing the corporate leader of some big MNC and actually making it someday. But in the past 6 months, many things changed and I found myself looking for some changes in life. I want to be a person that I admire. As such, I needed to change and I need a change.

I want to live my life happily and generally speaking, most Malaysian companies seem so boring! So it didn't matter to me whether I earned big bucks or drive a big car. I just want to have good company and have fun.

I like people who are outgoing and friendly and passionate. So, I decided to look elsewhere for my internships. I screened like a hundred companies at jobstreet. Finally, I was hooked on one that wrote how much they like to hang out at bars and throw fun parties!

Some people told me I should be wary of internet companies. But it didn't matter. I just needed something to rejuvenate myself, even if it was only for 3 months.

The past 3 years in Melaka has been different on so many levels that sometimes I cannot even recognize myself anymore. I'm the exact opposite of myself back then. Although I must admit that I was right on immature and stupid back then but at least I realize it now and have since changed! But this is not the case for many others. Lately, I suddenly hated socializing 'coz I found so many terrible people. Thus, I had to take a step in the right direction and change my mind for the sake of my own benefit and get away from these type of people.

I'm very into self-improvement and I try to change myself according to what I admire in other people but I just find that many other people are selfish and ignorant and they don't realize how terrible they are spiritually. For them, I wish them all the best in finding themselves. I can't change them even if I wanted so badly to.

It seems to be a international fad these days for cities to have a Ferries Wheel.

London has it, KL has one now and soon, Singapore would have one too!

Maybe 'coz it's cheaper to construct a huge Ferries Wheel which would offer breath-taking views of the city and at the same time, provide cheap entertainment in the form of a wheel that goes round-and-round-and-round. This compared to building a stationary skyscraper.

So, there we were on one of our SCB roadtrips. Since it was Karen's 20th birthday, we decided to do something a little out of the ordinary and went for a picnic and a couple of rounds in the 'Eye on Malaysia' at Taman Titiwangsa.

We paid RM15 each. It wasn't that bad, I suppose... it took us for about 6 rounds and stopping at the very top for a couple of minutes. I only felt that the Ferries Wheel could've been better placed. In the middle of the lake was fine but being up there, there's little to see. Then again, it's KL.. practically a concrete jungle. And I thought that for a 60m Ferries Wheel, it was much smaller than I expected. So, pros and cons being weighed against each other, my verdict is a 5 out of 10.

Chrissy's mum made some lovely sandwiches and Addie made some cookies. Yum... always a recipe for a good picnic.

After the picnic, we went over to Chrissy's and exchanged photos and vacation stories.

Before that, we did the whole cake-cutting and birthday song-singing for Karen. She was presented with the cutest chocolate bunny cake I've ever seen!

But little did the bunny know it would be slaughtered neck first. Adorable, that was what it was!

It's amazing how being too lazy to do my assignments can motivate me to start blogging again, just so I got some reason to avoid doing the work!

In the past few months that I have not typed my life out,

>> I turned 21

>> I started and finished another trimester of studies (5 down, 4 to go)

>> I went to Cambodia

Turning 21 was not as exciting as I thought it would be. Being 21, I feel almost no different from being 20 or 19, except I don't have to worry about going to places that only admit people age 21 and above.

The celebration, well.. was very unexpected. Some 'siao' people decided to give me the shock of my life.

The night before I officially turned 21, a few of us went for dinner at Paddington's in The Curve and later for Laundry Bar cocktails at Italiannies. After dinner, I was told that one of them had to leave early because she was going outstation. Fair enough, I thought. Dinner's fine and I was rather looking forward to continuing my reading of Donald Trump's The Art of the Deal.

So we said our goodbyes and left at 10.30pm.

And there I was, plugged in to my iPod and lying down on my bed, reading about The Donald and his many properties while imagining if what he says is applicable in countries outside USA. (How often do you see great riverfront buildings being sold at dirt-cheap prices?)

Time past 12am and I thought to myself that it isn't so bad... turning 21 and I'm actually READING! I've possibly read more books in the past year than the past 20 years combined.

And then, it so happened that I went out for a glass of water at 12.30-ish in the morning and I heard voices at my porch. At first I thought it was my loud ang-moh neighbour who frequently brings her dog (Suki the Toy Poodle) over to play with my dog (Daisy the Bull Mastiff) and now mother of 6 healthy bitches and 4 tough baby boy dogs.

Then my mum came out and told me that it was my friends downstairs! So I ran down and to my amazement, 3 siao cha bo's was in front of my gate, holding a cake, a banner and popping one of those party string popper thingys.

<s>I almost broke down and cry.</s> I didn't know how to react but everyone could tell how shocked I was from my expressions and how I just stood there without saying much.

They gave me banner depicting the many phases of my life that we have been through together and a chocolate cake which Karen baked.

I don't know if it was just the sugar rush from the cake, the adrenaline pumping due to the super-shockness or I was just too happy that I didn't sleep much that night.

Before I knew it, it was afternoon and I went for lunch with Ee Va and the gang at Caffe 1920.

And that night, my dad booked 3 tables at this famous Hakka restaurant in PJ New Town. They were serving this things called 'pun choy' but quite frankly, I'm really not a fan of Hakka food. I'm much more likely to have Hokkien or Hainanese food on any given day. And then the best 'dish' that night came at the very end - a 2kg Chocolate banana cake from La Manila. I can still remember the banana fragrance.

To me, this has gotta be one of the most memorable birthdays I will ever have. It was both awesome and mind-blowing.
